Back by popular demand – Birthday Parties at Philly Art Center! Crowd-pleasing parties that are a blast for kids and parents, alike.
We make celebrating easy for parents and a blast for kids. We’ll help with all the planning, party set up, and our specially trained teachers guide the fun from start to finish. Choose your creative party project from a set of options, invite friends, then show up to create colorful memories!
Philly Art Center has hosted kids art parties for over 15 years! You get the whole space to yourselves, 2 educators that run the party from set-up to clean-up, plus all the art materials and paper goods! – Up to 16 kids– Ages 3 – 13– 1.5 hours (with 15 minutes on either end for party host)– Choose your party project from the list of options– Each Party: $500– Deposit at booking: 50%– $50 firing fee for Clay Parties– $50 fee for 17 and/or 18 kids

Party Projects + Time Slots:Ages 3 + 4
Option 1: Mix it Up: Paint Party! – Includes 2 to 3 explorations from a mixed media collage with a range of age appropriate materials and ending with a grand collaborative, messy painting. Dress for a mess!
Option 2: Stack it Up: Birthday Build! – Sculpture-focused 3-D construction with wood and other excited mixed media! Made vibrant with paint and added craft materials. Dress for a mess!
Ages 5 – 8
Option 1: Say Cheese!: Photo + Frame Decorating – We’ll kick-off your party with a group photo, then decorate frames with colorful craft materials. We’ll send each kiddo home with a decorated frame and group photo!
Option 2: Clay pARTy: Pinch Pot + Paint – Build up clay vessels then add colorful painted patterns! We’ll fire the pots, wrap them and alert you when they are ready for pick-up 2-3 weeks after your celebration!
Option 3: Treasure Box – Collage + decorate lidded boxes (8×8” box) with fancy printed papers and a wide range of colorful craft materials!
Option 4: Birthday Fit: Wearables – Create wearable art with a range of fun materials including hats, glasses, cuffs and necklaces – let those imaginations soar!
Ages 9 – 13
Option 1: Mosaic pARTy: Glass, Tiles + Beads – Create mosaics with a range of exciting tesserae set in cast and colored plaster!
Option 2: Canvas Paint pARTy – Canvas painting inspired by the sugary cake paintings by Wayne Theibaud!
Option 3: Pottery pARTy: Clay Coiled Vessels – Pinch and coil up clay vessels then add colorful painted patterns! We’ll fire the pots, wrap them and alert you when they are ready for pick-up 2-3 weeks after your celebration!
Option 4: Zine Zone + Sticker Slap – Create booklet sized comic mags with a range of drawing media then design your own stickers to add to your zines!
