After School Art

Philly Art Center’s After School Art program, with free school pick-up or drop-off, is acclaimed by kids and parents!  With eighteen+ years of experience running comprehensive arts programming, our team of happy, organized and caring educators make every afternoon engaging and creative!

Exciting After School classes explore drawing, painting, fibers, construction, printing, pottery, and more! Dynamic skill-building programs inspire through age-appropriate challenges that develop creative thinking while alighting joy for the arts! Outstanding art educators foster a whole-child approach with outdoor creative play, snack and studio time. A close-knit community develops while kids make friends getting outside-the-box! Organized into three seasons, you preregister, online, for the day/s you need for the entire season with pick up by 6:00pm.

Free School Pick-Up

School pick-up is included with your After School Art registration! We pick-up from local area public schools at their dismissal time. Click the red location links to view the full list of schools. We safely orchestrate school pick-ups with our trained, full-time art teachers. Kids enjoy walking escort while kids from schools further out are regularly bused via Septa. Following registration, you’ll receive an email confirmation with pick up and program details. Don’t see your school? We may be able to add it, reach out to us!

How Does Registration Work?

Register for After School Art online by selecting the days you need for the season. A 50% deposit is made at registration and the remaining half of your balance is due in two payments at weeks 4 and 8. We send monthly First Friday emails to update you on program reminders, important dates and alert you to payment due dates. Call us for inquiries about alternative payment schedules. Late sign-ups can not be prorated and day switches within seasons cannot be accommodated.

No School Days

On days when schools are closed, you can register for Vacation Camps (by-the-day Sept. to June) or Summer Camps (by-the-week June to Sept.)!

School Half-Days

Half-Day Vacation Camps are aligned with the SDP calendar and are only offered on public school early dismissal days. You must be an enrolled ASA artist to be picked up from school on early dismissal days and the program goes until 3pm unless it is your regular ASA day. Half-Day Vacation camps require online preregistration, dates will be up for the entire school year and registration closes the week before programming or once full. We are not able to pick-up on unplanned, early dismissal days, like for inclement weather.
