Vacation Camps are your plan B when schools are closed! Offered by-the-day on school holidays and early dismissals, we’ve got you covered.

  • Full Day Camp F.A.Q.

    Vacation Camps schedule follows the School District of Philadelphia calendar.

    What should my child bring to camp?

    Pack a non-refrigerated lunch in a labeled lunch bag along with a labeled water bottle. We provide a Goldfish snack. If your child may not eat Goldfish, please outline that information in your art center account and pack an alternative snack option.

    Part of the creative process involves getting messy! We provide art aprons but please ensure kids are dressed for mess and wear sneakers for outdoor playtime. No Croc’s or sandals please. Gear for inclement weather and cold temperatures are also important during colder months!


    What are the camp hours?

    The regular camp days runs from 9:00am – 3:00pm with drop-off starting at 8:50am and pick-up from 2:50-3:10pm.

    Extra Care is available, see below for details. If you are going to be late for camp or need to pick your camper up early, you can do so anytime except when we’re at the park from 12:30-2:00pm.


    How do I register for Extra Care?

    Early Care and Late Care are available for Full Day Vacation Camps. Extend the arty-fun and reserve 8:15-9:00am and/or 3:00-6:00pm.

    To register, click into each camp listing where you will find links to both options for that given day. Advance online registration is required and registration closes the week prior to camp.


    Will I receive an email confirmation?

    After registration, you’ll receive an email receipt. Please check that you’ve received it and review the details for accuracy! Another email reminder will go out ahead of your program date. You can log into the portal anytime to check on your registrations.

    How do I request a change to my camp registration?

    In case of a change to your vacation camp registration/s, please complete this form.

    Changes can be made with 7 days prior notice and a $15 processing fee. We will follow up with full confirmation, after you submit the request.

    Where can I access my receipts and Tax ID?

    Receipts for any and all programs can be pulled from your online customer account. Our Tax ID# is 20-5802628.

  • Half Day Camp F.A.Q.

    Can my child be picked up from school?

    We are not able to pick up kids from school, unless your child is concurrently registered in the After School Art program. If your child is not registered for After School Art, please drop off at the studio after 12:00pm.

    We have long-standing safety protocol around school pick-ups and are only able to offer this service for current families where this protocol is already in place. Thank you for your understanding!

    My child is enrolled in After School Art – can they attend any Half Day Camp with school pickup?

    Yes! Your child can attend Half Day Camp with school pick-up even when it is not their “ASA” day! On your non-ASA days, kids must be pick-up by 3:10pm.

    Is Half Day Camp available for SDP Kindergartners’ first week of school?

    Yes! We offer half day school pickup for Kindergarten early dismissals that first week of school. Kiddos must be currently enrolled in any day of ASA to be eligible for pickup, that week.

    Is Late Care available?

    There is no Late Care available for Half Day Vacation Camps. Attendees should be picked up by 3:10pm. If it’s your child’s registered After School Art day, they can stay till 6pm for their regularly scheduled after school art session.

    When will my child eat lunch?

    Generally, kids eat lunch before early dismissal, at school. We do not have a scheduled time for lunch built into Half Day Vacation Camp. We are aware of one school that may not include lunchtime, please reach out to us with this information and we’ll encourage your child to eat while out at the playground.

Full Day Vacation Camp

Ages 5-12 | 9:00am – 3:00pm
Extra Care | 8:15-9:00am + 3:00-6:00pm

When school’s out, we’re in! Grouped by age, outstanding art educators cultivate creative fun and learning with outdoor playtime! Preregistration is required and kids must be age 5, enrolled in Kindergarten.

Half Day Vacation Camp

Ages 5-12 | 12:00pm – 3:00pm

When public school dismiss early, we’re open! Afternoons include outdoor play and studio fun. When your child is concurrently enrolled in After School Art, we’ll pick them up at early dismissal! Preregistration is required.

Philly Art Center is a single purpose business that provides art instruction for children and adults through a range of programs including classes, camps and after school. Philly Art Center is not a child day care center. Enrolled participants should demonstrate interest in creative learning.
