Summer Camps

Award winning summer camps run by-the-week all summer long, for ages 4-14, including tween specialty camps. Your child will beam for weeks about their awesome adventures at art camp while the confidence and creative skills they develop will last a lifetime.

Philly Art Center will reopen June 15th for Summer Camp at its Philadelphia locations. Extra Care will be phased in starting June 29th. We await guidance for the Cherry Hill location and expect to open June 22nd. Extensive planning, based on CDC and state guidance specific to our programming, will meet/exceed all guidelines and post here soon. Should you wish to cancel any weeks of camp, please reach out by June 15th. Campers must be preregistered two weeks prior to camp. Limited space remains. Please join wait lists for any closed weeks, changes are being made. Families will receive detailed camp information the week prior including digital forms that must be returned before camp begins.

Camp Safety Measures include the following and a detailed plan will post soon:   Small-group studio ratios, no group mixing, physical distancing, staggered park trips •     PPE for staff and children including face-shield hats •    Personal art kits •    Extensive staff training •     Staggered, outdoor drop-off and pick-up with administrative procedures streamlined and online •    Coordination with families and staff for daily wellness screening •    Intensified cleaning and hand washing procedures

Ages 4 – 12
Full Day + Half Day options available

Grouped by age, artists delve deep into exciting weekly themes while exploring a range of 2 & 3-D media through age-appropriate curriculum. Mornings are spent in the studios, buzzing with creative contentment through two, one hour-ish work sessions broken up by snack and story time. We lunch at noon, then head to the playground, followed by another studio block to round out the day. Every week includes a special field trip or visiting artist to enhance theme-based learning.

Ages 9 – 14
Full Day • Select weeks only

These totally tween-centered summer camps offer specialty themed studio experiences for kids who want to really focus on a particular medium! Led by experienced artists educators, camp themes include: comics, drawing, painting, ceramics and sewing. Camps run select weeks only and fill fast!

Extra Care has been adjusted to meet COVID safety regulations. Extra Care will be held in the same consistent studio groupings as the main portion of the day. Groups of children will not be mixed. Organized into morning and afternoon segments, extra care will be booked in advance, for the week. Campers will regularly go out to play during late care, in addition to arty-fun. Late care pick-up will be from 5:00pm-5:30pm. Camp will open regularly at 8:15am to allow teachers prep time, as they will now also be leading morning early care in their studios to keep groups consistent.

Camp Confirmation Emails will go out for each week of summer camp that you are registered for; look out for them! Be sure that you’ve signed up for the appropriate location and week by reviewing the confirmation details carefully. It will also include all the need-to-know camp details and an attached enrollment form.
