Kids Classes

Class Sessions

Classes run by the session and are 6-8 weeks long depending on how the calendar falls. Sign up is by the session and there are no drop-ins as the class experience is best when groups are consistent. Additionally, there is limited space in each class and our thoughtfully planned curriculum involves multi-week projects.  

We have two offerings for shorter-term programs. First is our weekly Creative Playgroup + Story Time for 0-30 months, it’s a drop-in with no need to register ahead. We will also be offering some one-off workshops this year, stay tuned!

Arrival + Dismissal Times

Please arrive within 5 minutes of the class start time and pick up your child no later than 5 minutes after the class has ended. There is not a waiting area for adults during class time.

Snack Time

Snack time is only organized for all Mini Masters classes as well as Saturday Mixed Media Masters classes. Goldfish crackers are provided and an alternative snack can be sent in, if preferred. Upon request, we can provide a gluten/dairy free pretzel snack option for your child.

Artwork + Materials

We provide art aprons but be sure to dress your kids for mess! All materials are provided and included in the class cost. All artwork goes home at the end of each session!

Medical, Social/Emotional, or Educational Needs

We are a team of dedicated educators who strive to create a safe and rich learning environment for all creatives!

If your child attends our programs and benefits from specialized supports, has a 1:1 aid, or has other therapists, we follow a two-step process.

1. Outline the details under your child’s profile on your Art Center account by clicking “Edit” within the Captyn Profile section.
2. Email us at least 2 weeks prior to program start date so that we can schedule a phone call to partner with you in support of your child’s experience.

Updating Account Info and Emergency Contacts/Authorized Pickups

Your account portal makes it easy! Just login HERE to update information by clicking on your child’s profile and selecting “Edit” under the Information Requests section. If we don’t recognize the adult at pick-up, we will check ID, so please be sure to have it handy.

Discounts
When you have classes in your cart for 2 or more household members, a 10% discount will automatically apply. We are not able to retroactively apply discounts.

Save 1% when you pay with ACH! Prior to registering, log into your account, select ACH under “Payment Method” and the discount will apply at checkout.

Class Tuition Assistance

We’ve made Class Tuition Assistance available to create access for all people, kids and adults, in our communities to attend our classes programs. To apply and inquire, complete this form. Please keep all communications regarding Class Tuition Assistance through this form, which we will check frequently.

Our September Start classes will be accepting applications until August 21st! The October Start session will OPEN September 11th and CLOSE October 9th.

Missed Classes + Tokens

We know life gets busy! If you miss a class, we will add a courtesy Missed Class Token onto your Art Center account, here is how it works:

Missed Class Token Policies 

• You may request one Missed Class Token per session.
• To retrieve your Missed Class Token, complete the form below, within 1 week after an absence. Please no emails or calls regarding this process, all inquiries and requests go through the form.
• Tokens are valued at $30 and never expire! It will be placed onto your Art Center account as a credit, which will automatically apply at checkout to bring down the total cost of your next registration.
• We are not able to offer make-up classes due to the varied and materials-heavy curriculum planning that goes into each class.

Registration Changes + Cancellations

We are unable to accommodate program refunds or make-ups of any kind. Programming and staffing are set based on enrollment commitments and are set ahead of each session. Additionally class groupings are intentionally organized to be consistent for the best possible experience, so attending a different section of a class as a make-up is not possible.

Registration changes can be accommodated with a $25 processing fee, up until 1 week before the session has started, note deadline dates below.

• Cancellations – credits will be added onto your Art Center account
• Switches – a class switch can be accommodated, space permitting
• No changes or credits after the deadlines

Deadlines for registration changes:

• Fall Session (Sept Start) – Mon. August 31
• Fall Session (Oct Start) – Mon. October 19
• Winter Session (Jan Start) – Mon. December 28
• Winter Session (Feb Start) – Mon. February 15
• Spring Session (April Start) – Mon. April 12

For any extenuating circumstances, please request a registration change through your Art Center account portal. Click on “Registrations” under your child’s profile and select either “Move” or “Cancel.” We will follow up via email with full confirmation, after you submit the request.
