Queen Village

Philly Art Center’s Queen Village location launched in 2011 and boasts beautifully designed studios on two floors. With huge stainless steel sinks, skylights, and color throughout, it’s an inspiring space for art making!

Located just one block South of the vibrant South Street corridor and around the corner from Philadelphia’s Fabric Row, we are between 5th and 6th Streets on Bainbridge Street. Getting here is easy! Just turn East onto Bainbridge Street from 6th Street and we are just up on the right side.

Parking Availability

On-street parking can be found throughout the neighborhood. Metered, on-street parking is readily available north of Bainbridge Street and unmetered parking south of Bainbridge Street, especially from Christian Street, south. There are several lots in the area including on Bainbridge Street, just west of 5th Street.

Public Transportation

Septa Route #40 stops at the corners of 6th & South and 5th & South. It runs east on South St., turns around at 2nd St. and runs west on Lombard St. all the way to the South Street bridge, and beyond.(Conshohocken Ave in West Park to Monument Rd. in Society Hill via Lombard and South Streets). The #47 stops at the corner of 7th & Fitzwater. It runs north on 7th St. to Olney, turns around at Godfrey Ave. and heads back south on 8th St. to Oregon Ave. (Olney to South Philadelphia via 7th and 8th Streets). Route map can be found here.

The #57 stops at the corner of 4th & Bainbridge. It runs south on 4th St. to Oregon Ave, turns around at Whitman Plaza and heads back north on 3rd St. through North Philadelphia. (South Philadelphia to Fern Rock Transportation Center via American, 3rd and 4th Streets). Route map can be found here.
